Day 52: Tuscon, AZ

Posted: May 3, 2014 in America: Miami to San Francisco

Day off started at 7 with a large tom cat sniffing my head and ears 🙂

Right time for a coffee at Maker House, an urban collective frequented by small scale business entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, cyclists, students, retired hippies and actors. Lovely people but I’m not ‘creative’ enough to really fit in or understand all their jargon and angst about modern living. Coffee was SUPERB though (possibly best in America so far!) – flavour, depth, colour, after taste, aroma, creme – roasted locally I opted from a quadruple followed by a double.

Early lunch was a £7.75 Chimichanga from Bernardo’s Mexican Food on Congress Avenue – HUGE portion that will see me through until supper!

Time to drive out into the mountains to visit The Saguaro National Park West! Many ‘Cowboy and Indian’ films are shot out in this wilderness.

Bible verse of the day – Proverbs 16:3

Expenditure £14. 75
